Nothing prepares you for the overwhelming range of emotions you will experience at an event like Ironman 70.3. And nobody prepares you for the (un)likelyhood of not finishing – probably because nobody expects to walk away with a DNF.,,

300 Days Of Training

My Instagram

When your #marathon training calls for strength and mobility, which just happens to coincide with #karate evening. Great way to purge some pent-up frustration.
It's easy to tell yourself you don't have the time. Or that a project has you so stressed you can't even think of your training. But the one thing I recently learned from a @swimbikemom post, is that even the shortest #workout is still a workout. In this case, a quick 24 minutes on my way home. #training #motivation #couchtomarathon #nycmarathon
I'm at the @capetownfunnyfestival sponsor workshop and @jivecooldrinks_ introduced their limited edition #FunnyFlavour cooldrink to the team. It's #blue, it's bubbly, it smells like bubblegum and tastes like my childhood. Get it from participating stores and enter the #FunnyFestival competition.
This 2l cooldrink bottle takes almost two rubbish bags of materials. ALMOST 2. When I found out that the @ecobrickexchange can convert #ecobricks into school buildings, functional gardens and other cool stuff I was intrigued. After a bit more research I started to make our first eco brick last Saturday. It's still not full. It made me realise how much waste we still generate, despite being avid composters and recyclers. Imagine everyone makes ecobricks in their respective households? Imagine we use eco brick creation as a means of sheltered employment, community upliftment and prisoner rehab. Imagine we start to clear landfills and rubbish dumps?!? I'm certainly not stopping at just this one!! #recycle #upcycle #greeneconomy #plasticorplanet
There's only one way to work today: in my onesie with a cat on my shoulder. #winter #crazycatlady #selfemployed
#thatawkwardmoment when it's 3h30 in the morning and you're babysitting a series of wetransfers that must finish before you can head off to bed, sooooooooo you play around with #snapchat #selfies to make time fly a little faster. Sometimes being #selfemployed is not as glitzy as it seems. Yes... It would also appear that I'm STILL in my #karate #gi.
The official winner of our first #Monopoly game... It lasted for days!!
Who loves free stuff? I do!!! Who loves being her friend's Plus One at various social engagements? MEEEEEE! At @sterkinekor @cavendishsquare with @fazielahwilliams, about to watch @overboardmovie ... Courtesy of @marieclairesa.
My mom's #superpower is #crochet. So my hands are toasty warm in this #lovecapetown #winter storm.
